FreeToolHub is designed with privacy by default. We collect zero personal data from our calculators and tools. All calculations happen in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
The only data we may collect:
- Anonymized page views via privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics)
- Standard server logs (IP anonymized after 24 hours)
- Information you voluntarily provide via our contact form
2. Cookies
We use minimal first-party functional cookies (e.g., remembering your dark-mode preference). We do not set third-party tracking cookies ourselves.
- Analytics cookies: We use privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
- Functional cookies: First-party cookies used to remember preferences such as theme (dark/light mode). These are essential and cannot be disabled.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features of our site but will not affect the core functionality of our tools.
Note: We plan to display unobtrusive third-party advertisements in the future. When we do, this section will be updated with details about advertising cookies and opt-out options.
⚠ Exception: Temporary Email Tool
The Temporary Email tool is the only tool on FreeToolHub that requires a server to function. It uses a third-party API (Guerrilla Mail) to receive emails on your behalf. Temporary inbox content is automatically deleted after 24 hours by the provider. All other tools on this site run 100% in your browser — no server, no upload, no data stored.
3. Future Advertising
To keep our tools free for everyone, we plan to display unobtrusive, privacy-respecting advertisements in the future. When advertising is implemented, this section will be updated with full details about:
- Which advertising networks we use
- How advertising cookies work and what data they collect
- How to opt out of personalized advertising
- GDPR/CCPA compliance details for EU/California users
Important: All tools on FreeToolHub process data entirely in your browser. Any future advertising will not have access to the data you enter into our tools — ads will only track page visits and ad interactions.
4. Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)

5. Data Security
All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS 1.3. We do not store any user-input data on our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Voluntary Tips & Donations
This site accepts voluntary tips and donations via third-party platforms such as Ko-fi. When you choose to support us:
- Payment processing is handled entirely by the third-party platform (e.g., Ko-fi, Stripe). We do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
- Information collected during payment (such as your name, email, and payment amount) is used only for processing the transaction, issuing receipts, and tax reporting as required by law.
- We will never send you marketing emails or share your payment information with third parties for promotional purposes.
8. Sponsored & Affiliate Content
Some links on this site are affiliate or sponsored links. This means we may earn a commission if you click on a link and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. All sponsored and affiliate content is clearly labeled with a "Sponsored" tag or "Affiliate" designation. These partnerships do not influence our tool recommendations or editorial integrity.
9. AI-Assisted Content
Some content on this site — including guides, tool descriptions, and help text — was created with the assistance of AI tools and reviewed and edited by humans. AI-generated outputs (such as paraphrased text, email drafts, or resume rewrites) are produced by client-side models and are not stored on our servers. We strive for accuracy, but AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors — always verify important information independently.

11. MCP Server & AI Assistant Privacy
FreeToolHub operates an MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server that allows AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT to use our calculation tools on your behalf. When an AI assistant calls our MCP Server:
- Only calculation parameters are transmitted (e.g., income amount, tax year, filing status) — never personal identity data
- Results are returned instantly and are not stored or logged on our servers
- Rate limiting uses an anonymized IP hash that resets daily — no permanent IP records are kept
- The AI assistant you use may have its own privacy policy governing how it handles the calculation results
