What Is the PDF Rotate & Reorder Tool?
The PDF Rotate & Reorder tool is a free, browser-based visual editor for PDF pages. It generates thumbnail previews of every page, lets you rotate individual pages or all pages clockwise or counterclockwise with one click, drag-and-drop thumbnails to reorder pages, and delete unwanted pages — all in a visual grid interface. When you are done, the tool rebuilds the PDF with your changes using pdf-lib, preserving original content quality. All processing happens in your browser — no PDF is ever uploaded to a server.
Who Should Use This Tool?
Anyone who has a PDF with pages in the wrong orientation or wrong order. Scanned documents frequently have pages rotated 90 degrees. Presentations exported to PDF may have slide order issues. Users merging PDFs from different sources often need to reorder pages afterward. Anyone who needs to remove specific pages from a PDF without re-splitting and re-merging. The visual thumbnail editor makes it easy to see and fix page issues at a glance.
How to Use the PDF Rotate & Reorder Tool
Upload your PDF — the tool generates thumbnails of all pages automatically. Click the ⟳ or ⟲ button on any thumbnail to rotate that page. Use the toolbar to rotate all pages at once. Drag thumbnails to reorder pages — drop a page onto another position to swap them. Click ✕ on any thumbnail to remove that page. When satisfied, click Save Reorganized PDF to download the processed file. All changes are applied locally in your browser.
Frequently asked
Can I rotate all pages at once?
Yes. Use the "Rotate all CW" or "Rotate all CCW" buttons in the toolbar above the thumbnail grid. This rotates every page in the PDF by 90 degrees in the chosen direction. You can then fine-tune individual pages by clicking their rotate buttons.
Does reordering pages affect the PDF quality?
No. The tool uses pdf-lib to copy pages from the original PDF into a new document in your chosen order. No re-encoding or compression is applied — the content quality is identical to the original. Only the page order and rotation change.
Can I delete pages I don't need?
Yes. Each thumbnail has a ✕ button that removes that page from the output. Deleted pages are not included in the final PDF. You can delete as many pages as you want, as long as at least one page remains.
